Non-profit

Mission Statement

Southeastern Food Bank has been “Feeding the hungry and caring for those in need by sharing life’s necessities and a message of hope”, throughout the State of Florida since 1991.

About

For the past 28 years, Southeastern Food Bank, a division of Bread of Life Fellowship, Inc., provides food and counseling to more than 10,000 economically disadvantaged families across the state of Florida through its monthly food outreach programs. Southeastern Food Bank currently distributes more than 200,000 pounds of food each month to more than 50 local non-profit organizations that we partner with throughout the state. Southeastern Food Bank is also a distribution site for Feed the Children, Operation Blessing and Convoy of Hope. Southeastern Food Bank is a member of the Association of Independent Food Banks, Inc.

As a faith-based organization, Southeastern Food Bank strives to serve the community by feeding those in need both physically and spiritually. We have the privilege to provide food and services for all types of people, including low income households, the homeless, unemployed & underemployed, individuals with disabilities, alcohol/drug rehabilitation centers, children's homes and senior citizen organizations. Southeastern Food Bank is able to assist all different groups by receiving donations from organizations throughout the state and re-distributing them through the partnerships we’ve created with like-minded organizations.

Southeastern Food Bank runs three major programs: 1. Year-round, monthly food outreach programs, 2. Food For Families Holiday Outreach, and 3. Mobile Food Pantry for home-bound seniors.

Today, Southeastern Food Bank has a small staff of 5 employees, and many dedicated volunteers that come to our warehouse monthly to help sort, pack and deliver food to our distribution sites.

In 2019, Southeastern Food Bank distributed 2.5 million pounds of food through its warehouse, recorded more than 15,000 volunteer hours, and served more than 137,000 families, 41,000 children and 11,000 seniors through its outreach programs.
