Mission Statement
The UMKC Foundation's primary role is fundraising, fund investment and fund management of all gifts to the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). The UMKC Foundation's mission is to foster a culture that inspires philanthropy to achieve university priorities. The UMKC mission is to lead in life and health sciences, deepen and expand strength in the visual and performing arts, develop a professional workforce, collaborate in urban issues and education and create a vibrant learning and campus life experience. UMKC will become a model urban research university characterized by signature graduate and professional programs, a dynamic undergraduate population, a highly diverse faculty, staff and student body and active engagement with its city and region.
