Mission Statement
The mission of the Library Foundation is to advance the Louisville Free Public Library's mission of providing the people of Metro Louisville with the broadest possible access to knowledge, ideas and information, and to support them in their pursuit of learning. Our vision is a strong, robust library system that is fully appreciated by, engaged with, and supported by the community. Our purpose is to benefit, promote, support, encourage, and enhance the programs and facilities of the Louisville Free Public Library. We raise funds to provide unusual and innovative programs and services at the Library not normally provided by appropriations from governmental agencies.
