The University of Houston is releasing dorm room furniture to charities in need. All of the agencies receiving the furniture assist the homeless. Your efforts on this one day will make it possible for hundreds of homeless people to rest comfortably and with dignity this winter.
Families to Freedom is coordinating this effort between the university and five other nonprofits receiving the furniture. On Tuesday December 12th we have 1 day to move twin beds, 3-drawer dressers, writing desks and chairs from the dorms to a moving truck. The dorm is 3 floors with no elevators so the more help we can get, the easier and faster this move will go.
If you live in Houston- fantastic! We'll give you directions on when and where to meet on campus. If you live in Dallas-Ft. Worth- no problem! We'll provide a carpool solution for everyone to and from Houston.
