Impact Hickman Mills
Impact Hickman Mills was created with the goal of helping nearly 500 homeless families in the Hickman Mills School District become sustainable and independent in their own homes allowing students to focus on their education. The Impact model allows for families to receive services in one day through the collaboration of varied service providers in a single location. These providers offer targeted wrap-around care in housing, IDs/birth certificates, employment, healthcare, mental health, childcare, emergency relief, and other services Impact Hickman Mills is a collective impact project between HMC-1, Avenue of Life, and Life in Full Transformation (L.I.F.T.), Inc. which is a 501(c)3 organization located at Blue Hills Church and is the backbone of the project. Impact is a one-stop-shop approach to enable families to accomplish in one day what may otherwise take three or more months on their own.
