Disaster Recovery

When disaster strikes, Auburn UMC is ready to partner with UMCOR and local churches to serve and be present with survivors offering hope. Our Early Response Teams (ERTs) are deployed immediately after a storm to help with urgent cleanup and relief work like installing tarps. Rebuild teams are typically deployed several weeks later. Teams are never "self-deployed"; we always wait to be invited so that our local partners are ready for us.

Currently, we are focusing our disaster recovery efforts in two areas: March 2019 Tornados in Lee County and Hurricane Michael Recovery in Port St Joe, FL.
