At Behind Every Door, one of our greatest commitments is presence — being here consistently, joyfully, and purposefully for our community. The We Are Here Events Initiative reflects this value in action: a series of gatherings designed to cultivate joy, connection, and belonging for individuals and families of all ages. Whether it’s serving a warm Thanksgiving meal, dancing at a Christmas party, breaking a sweat at a community workout, or hosting a peaceful adult hangout — these events remind our neighbors: “You are not alone. We are here.” More than programs, these are moments of encounter — expressions of love that reflect our mission to create Christ-centered pathways of HOPE, and our vision of a world where people live fully in who God created them to be.
